About Driver's Edge

History: 

In 1983, Drivers Edge opened a 1,100 square foot performance automotive retail store, located in North Plymouth, Massachusetts. 

The product offering was geared to the Performance Market.  In 1988 the business was moved and expanded to a 6,000 square foot facility located at 37 Main Street Kingston, Massachusetts.  3,000 square feet was dedicated to Service and Repair while Retail was expanded to a 3,000 square foot area.

Shortly thereafter, we expanded our service offering to regular Auto Repair and Maintenance.

In 1993 we found our current 4,500 square foot location at 48 Main Street also in Kingston, Massachusetts. This, our current location, with easy access from Route 3.

Mission Statement:

To provide the highest quality Accessories, Repairs and Service to our customers at competitive prices with uncompromised customer service. We will treat our customers with respect and provide honest and accurate information.

An important key to our success is the quality of our people. All of our employees have been with us for years, have excellent experience and are all customer focused.

The Roster:

Steve Negrini - Founder and President of the Company

Steve has a background in marketing, sales and operations. He was a long time absentee owner and left his corporate job as a Multi-Plant Manager in 2003 to operate Drivers Edge.

As General Manager of the business, you will see Steve working at the counter, serving the customers.

Steve’s passion is NHRA Sportsman Drag Racing. Steve has been racing since 1970 and still competes today in the Super Stock category. Steve has won many races over the years. What he learns at the track has helped him provide better products and services than any of his competitors.

Paul Michael – Sales Specialist

Paul has been a car and truck enthusiast since from the time he had his license and was able to drive.

Paul worked part-time for Drivers Edge back in the early 90’s. In 1998, Paul became a full-time employee.

Paul works the counter, does some service writing and manages the extensive inventory of parts and accessories.

Paul is well versed in both the truck and performance markets.

Joe Savio – Service Manager

Joe is our senior employee. Joe joined our team in 1988.

Joe earned his degree as an Automotive Technician from Franklin Institute. He has been an active technician for over 25 years, and has been with Drivers Edge for over 18 years.

Joe’s diagnostic skills are second to no one. Joe was involved in Steve’s Race Program back in the 70’s.

Mike Stanghellini – Service Technician

Mike has been involved in auto and truck repair from the time he got his license. He has over 8 years of experience both as a technician and installer. Mike is a strong problem solver and is developing his diagnostic skills.

Mike has recently built a Bracket Race Car and plans on competing at several events in the years to come.

Maureen Negrini – Secretary/Treasurer

Maureen has an extensive administrative background. She handles the bookkeeping, human resources and administrative responsibilities at the shop. Maureen acts as the travel coordinator for the Drivers Edge Race Program.
